There is an exciting opportunity at World Cocoa Foundation for an Environment Associate. The role is based in Washington, D.C. The Environment Associate will provide management and coordination support to the Environment Team, which sits within the Programs Department. The Environment Team, based out of Washington, DC, West Africa and Central America, leads cocoa and chocolate industry efforts to promote environmental sustainability in the coca sector, focusing on climate change and deforestation. The Environment Team manages the Climate Smart Cocoa (CSC) Program in Latin America and West Africa and the Cocoa and Forest Initiative (CFI) in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana. The Associate will provide administrative and programmatic support including workplan, calendar and budget management, development of reports, policy briefs and other communication materials; conduct desk research; and help develop new business. The Associate will participate in relevant conferences and workshops in Washington, DC and will engage with industry partners, NGOs, academic institutes and other global experts in the environment and agriculture.
